About The Role
Assistant Machine Operator plays a critical role in supporting the efficient operation of manufacturing equipment within the durable goods production environment. This position ensures that machines are properly set up, monitored, and maintained to meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards. The role requires close collaboration with machine operators and maintenance teams to troubleshoot minor issues and maintain continuous workflow.
The Assistant Machine Operator contributes to minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity by performing routine inspections and assisting with machine adjustments. Ultimately, this position is essential for maintaining smooth manufacturing processes and delivering high-quality products on schedule.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
- Previous experience in a corrugated manufacturing.
- Basic knowledge of machine operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret production orders and technical instructions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Assist in setting up and preparing machinery for production runs according to specifications.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent performance and product quality.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Identify and report any mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly to the maintenance team.
- Collaborate with operators and supervisors to meet daily production goals and maintain safety standards.
- Document production activities and machine performance accurately for shift handover and quality control.
- Follow all company safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions.
The required skills such as mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for monitoring and assisting with machine operations to ensure smooth production flow. Safety awareness is critical and applied daily to maintain a secure work environment and prevent accidents. Preferred skills like prior manufacturing experience and the ability to interpret technical instructions enhance the operator's efficiency in setting up and troubleshooting equipment.
Communication skills facilitate effective collaboration with team members and supervisors, ensuring production goals are met. Additionally, physical stamina and manual dexterity are utilized throughout the shift to perform hands-on tasks and maintain equipment.

1st shift 6:00am-2:00pm;
2nd shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm
3rd shift 10:00pm-6:00am
Monday - Friday with occasional OT by extending the shift and/or Saturday.
