About the RoleArbiser Machine, LLC is a well-established, high-precision job shop serving a diverse customer base across the aerospace, industrial, and specialty manufacturing sectors.
To support our growth and further expansion into the aerospace industry, we are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer who is hands‑on, technically strong, and willing to mentor and train younger machinists. This role is not a management position, but it carries leadership responsibility on the shop floor and within our engineering‑to‑production workflow.
What You Will Do- Program CNC machining jobs using G-code
, CAMWorks
, Fusion 360
, and/or similar CAM systems - Set up and run CNC machining jobs, primarily milling
, with some turning work - Work with Haas CNC Mills
, Nakamura-Tome CNC Lathes
, Fadal CNC Mills - Open and review Solid Works models to understand part geometry and intent
- Consult with engineering and front‑office staff to estimate setup time and run time for quoting
- Train, guide, and mentor junior machinists and new hires in best practices, setup strategy, and problem‑solving
- Support shop workflow with a calm, professional, and solution‑oriented demeanor
- Strong CNC programming experience (G-code and CAM‑based workflows)
- Proven ability to set up and operate CNC milling machines independently
- Working knowledge of CNC turning operations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
- Willingness and ability to teach, mentor, and support less‑experienced machinists
- Comfortable collaborating with office staff on quoting and job planning
- Customer‑facing experience, especially assisting walk‑in or emergency maintenance jobs
- Background in high‑mix, low‑to‑medium volume job shop environments
- Stable, long‑established shop with a strong reputation
- Clean, organized environment with modern CNC equipment
