The Maintenance Electrician Tech will provide day-to-day leadership in the maintenance and repair of production equipment at Liberty Tire Recycling. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of all machinery and equipment. A strong background in electrical systems is required, along with hands-on mechanical expertise. The Maintenance Electrician Tech is also responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Lead and support maintenance activities across the production facility, with a focus on electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, electrical issues, and mechanical failures; implement timely and effective repairs.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.
- Assist with installation, modification, and upgrade projects for production equipment and electrical systems.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members on safety procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and equipment best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Communicate regularly with Plant Management regarding maintenance needs, schedules, and progress updates.
- Assist with yard and facility upkeep, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Be available to support production needs, including operating equipment as necessary during maintenance activities.
- Strong electrical background, including troubleshooting, wiring, motor controls, and panel work.
- Solid mechanical skills, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and general production machinery maintenance.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, exposed to various weather conditions (rain, heat, cold).
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, pull, and push for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lead a maintenance team and work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong commitment to safety, organization, and housekeeping.
- Ability to drive company vehicles (route trucks) on short notice if needed.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role, with electrical focus.
