2nd Shift Lead

Position Summary:

The Shift Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations on the shop floor during their assigned shift. This includes managing a team of operators, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, maintaining production schedules, and meeting quality standards. The Shift Lead works closely with the production manager and other team members to ensure the smooth flow of operations, addresses any issues that arise during the shift, and contributes to process improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assign tasks to warehouse employees and ensure tasks are complete
• Ensure employees are productive while following safety procedures
• Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings
• Wear safety equipment at all times
• Educate department on product information
• Implement cost effective and time saving methods; inform and encourage employee involvement in the improvement process
• Establish operational goals and productivity standards for the department to maximize team performance and efficiency
• Evaluate staff for continual professional growth
• Design job enrichment programs by cross training and updating staff on changes in laws and regulations

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Four years warehouse manufacturing experience
• Basic math skills
• Read tape measure
• Knowledge of EMS products
• Effective problem solving ability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to organize, plan and prioritize duties
