💲 Starting Pay: $58,000 – $68,000/year
🕐 Status: Full-Time | Immediate Hire
🕔 Schedule: Night shift, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Must be flexible, as hours may vary based on customer and terminal needs, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities- As the Railyard Operations Manager, lead day-to-day operations of the railyard terminal staff with emphasis on safety, performance, and productivity.
- Coordinate and prepare railcars for loading and unloading; verify inbound and outbound train numbers; manage movement of ramp crews.
- Identify operational challenges and solve problems to ensure efficient terminal flow; ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and policies.
- Drive terminal staff engagement and retention; coach staff on safety matters.
- Perform administrative tasks, staff scheduling, and ensure effective team communication.
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in railyard operations or a related field.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and the MS Office suite.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example.
- Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening. The Federal Railroad Administration sets and enforces safety regulations and standards for railroad operations. Use of cannabis is strictly prohibited. If applicable for the position, you may have to take and pass a drug screen.

- Experience managing railyard operations or similar logistical operations.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety protocols.
- Strong coaching and team development skills.
- The role involves working outdoors in a railyard environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
- The position requires managing operational challenges and overseeing staff in an active and fast-paced setting.
