The RoleAs an Engagement Director, you own the success of a client engagement or major workstream from start to finish. You serve as the primary day-to-day leader for the engagement, accountable for outcomes, client satisfaction, and delivery against aggressive financial and operational targets. You will work closely with client executives and Maine Pointe Partners to shape strategy, lead teams, deliver measurable value, and identify opportunities to expand client relationships.
This role is designed for senior consulting leaders who combine strong commercial acumen with hands-on delivery excellence.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives and C-suite leaders
- Own engagement outcomes, delivering EBITDA, cash, and revenue improvements on time and on budget
- Lead engagements or major work streams through the Analysis and delivery phases
- Align client success criteria with engagement goals and track progress through completion
- Lead, coach, and develop engagement teams to drive high performance and accountability
- Ensure disciplined execution of Maine Pointe methodologies, tailored to client and industry needs
- Identify and shape follow-on opportunities in partnership with Engagement and Industry Partners
- Build long-term client relationships that drive repeat work, references, and TVO journeys
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, logistics, operations, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 5–10+ years of experience leading consulting or business transformation engagements
- Proven success delivering measurable financial results within tightly managed timelines and budgets
- Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to adapt across industries and cultures
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations transformation
- Prior experience in an implementation-focused consulting firm
- PMP or similar certification
- Demonstrated success expanding client relationships and selling follow-on work
- Professional confidence and strong relationship management skills
- Ability to inspire, coach, and develop consulting teams
- Strong decision-making, planning, and change leadership skills
- Clear, confident communicator with strong facilitation abilities
The Engagement Director role represents a senior leadership position at Maine Pointe, with responsibility for client outcomes, team development, and commercial growth. High performers deepen client partnerships, expand TVO journeys, and play a critical role in shaping the firm’s continued growth.
Tools & Work Environment- Willingness to travel up to 85% to client sites
- High-visibility role with direct exposure to executives and private equity sponsors
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power Point
- Authorization to work in the United States is required (no sponsorship available)
- Some roles may begin as contracted consulting positions, with the opportunity to convert to full-time employment based on performance and business demand.
