The manager will play a crucial role in staff orientation and training, performance management, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence within the department.
Responsibilities- Operational Oversight: Plan, organize, direct, and manage day‑to‑day operational activities, manage resources, oversee scheduling, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Staff Management: Lead a team of technologists, nurses, and support staff; provide training, development opportunities, and address performance issues.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Establish and communicate policies, monitor performance, and implement quality programs to meet regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards.
- Workflow Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement best practices, and resolve technical problems to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
- Staff Orientation & Training: Conduct orientation and training programs for new personnel and ongoing development.
- Budget Management: Assist in budget planning, cost control, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Communication & Engagement: Regularly meet with staff to communicate operational changes, share information, and foster open communication.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Patient Satisfaction: Monitor metrics, address concerns, and implement strategies to enhance patient experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus five years of hospital radiology services experience (including two years supervisory experience), or a bachelor's degree with three years business experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification in accordance with the American Heart Association.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, strong communication, team‑building abilities, and a proactive mindset.
20–50 lbs; lifting 50 lbs max; occasional to frequent standing, walking, and close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing). Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and tasks.
Environmental FactorsExposure to blood‑borne pathogens, bio‑hazardous waste, chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, communicable diseases, electrical shock, hot/cold temperatures, and radiation. Shift work and travel may be required.
