Pay: Negotiable up to $65/hr
Position OverviewThe Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety, security, and environmental compliance programs across multiple construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence teams toward a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities- Travel up to 75% to multiple project sites to ensure trade partners meet safety expectations
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with safety standards
- Lead and organize safety training sessions for construction personnel
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and corrective actions
- Assist with document control and program development
- Oversee construction activities to ensure OSHA compliance
- Manage subcontractor and contractor safety performance
- Maintain and update corporate and site‑specific EHS dashboards
- Track, analyze, and distribute EHS metrics and reports
- Strong understanding of safety rules, regulations, and construction safety standards
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence teams
- Ability to communicate, defend, and reinforce safety programs diplomatically
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to coach, train, and mentor others effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Planner), preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred
- 5+ years of direct construction safety experience, preferred
- General Contractor experience, preferred
- OSHA 510 and/or 500 a plus
- CHST or CSP certification preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs without mechanical assistance
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to travel by air to various locations nationwide
