Senior Accounting Manager - Atlanta, GA

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead all aspects of accounting operations. This role requires a deep understanding of financial management and accounting principles, strong leadership abilities, and the capacity to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting functions including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Supervise and develop a team of accountants, providing mentorship and performance feedback.

  • Deliver detailed financial reports to leadership, ensuring GAAP compliance.

  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Coordinate external audits and respond to audit findings.

  • Drive improvements in financial systems and reporting processes.

  • Assist in budget creation and perform variance analysis.

  • Partner with HR, IT, and operations to support strategic decisions.

  • Oversee tax compliance across federal, state, and local levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  • CPA or CMA preferred.

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong technical proficiency in accounting systems and Excel.

  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
