- High School Diploma or GED.
- Vocational or technical training in custodial or building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing or electrical, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License.

Purpose of ClassificationThe purpose of this classification is to perform operational building maintenance activities in multiple locations around Fulton County in a variety of disciplines.
Essential Functions- Performs preventive maintenance and repair work on buildings and systems, repairing HVAC systems and plumbing fixtures; replacing floor and ceiling tiles, defective parts, fluorescent bulbs, and filters; collecting lint from dryers; painting walls, doors, and ceilings; and performing other minor repairs.
- Identifies and requests supplies needed for tasks, such as air filters, controls, and gas valves.
- Inspects buildings to ensure that they are clean and debris-free, and maintenance repairs are completed.
- Monitors temperature of chilled water and computerized controls to ensure a comfortable work environment and makes adjustments as needed.
- Makes recommendations regarding equipment replacement.
- Assists other technicians or contractors that may be needed to perform more experienced and/or specific tasks.
- Performs other related duties as required.
