Central Plant Engineering Manager

• Manage, direct, coordinate, and control the hotel’s central plant operations.
• Use the hotel’s building automation system (Desigo) for adjustments with hotel temperatures and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on systems and equipment.
• Utilize the hotel’s service request system (HotSOS), ensuring requests are completed in a timely manner.
• Follow up on the status of work performed by outside vendors.
• Monitor and provide reports/updates on a daily basis regarding team’s work status.
• Perform daily inspections of central plant equipment & mechanical spaces; complete progress and informational logs.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of parts and maintenance materials.
• Provide excellent communication to all stakeholders including colleagues, customers, and leaders.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in building systems, life/safety systems, plant operations, and building maintenance is required, with hotel experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in all maintenance areas, including guest rooms, meeting spaces, front-of-house, kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• EPA Universal Certification Required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including various shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to send texts and emails via a smartphone application.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
