Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform maintenance service or repairs to consistently maintain the hotel's buildings, grounds, and equipment to company's standards.

• Complete assigned tasks from General Manager before deadlines.
• Assure work meets company standards.
• Handle maintenance requests from all hotel departments.
• Assist in setting up meeting rooms as required.
• Maintain the cleanliness of hotel grounds.
• Empty all trash containers.
• Perform assigned landscaping tasks.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three of more years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, painting, electrical repairs, landscaping tools, and landscaping equipment.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk the entire shift, talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include those required for reading. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee is occasionally exposed to hazards including, but not limited to slipping, tripping, and falls; frequent exposure to dirt, humidity, heat, cold; frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, exposure to harsh and hazardous sanitation solutions, and frequent washing of hands.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background and drug test.
