Maintenance Porter - Driving

• Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted in the checklists and as directed by the facility manager/supervisor to ensure removal of dirt, dust, litter, and debris from all areas of the facility using brooms, mops, brushes, and other tools.
• Walk garage daily to note and correct any maintenance problems.
• Sweep and pick up around entrances and exits to the garage and stairwells; clean surface areas, rails, and other surfaces on all levels, the booth, the office, and restrooms.
• Empty all trashcans in the garage, the booth, and the office.
• Paint areas of the facility as directed to maintain and improve appearance of surfaces such as poles, signs, doors, walls, curbs, islands, gates, etc.
• Replace burned-out bulbs.
• Apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
• Submit requests for repairs or maintenance.
• Check conditions of safety items such as gate arms to ensure clearance bars are secure.
• Check ticket spitters and gates daily for proper operations, ticket supply, clock time accuracy, and general appearance.
• Provide ticket and record gate counters to the Manager.
• Maintain a garage/lot sweep sheet and inventory of janitorial supplies.
• Operate automatic sweepers, scrubbers, and outdoor equipment as applicable.
• Shovel, plow, or blow snow from entrances or exits as designated by the Facility Manager.
• Report any unknown, observed, or suspected violations of policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences promptly.
• Assist customers within the facility or as directed by the Facility Manager/Supervisor and resolve customer complaints independently or with supervisor aid.
• Be familiar with all aspects of the operation and cover other duties including cashier or attendant as needed.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and attire in uniform for scheduled shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education/
  
  Experience:
  
  High School Diploma or a combination of experience and education. May require facility maintenance, electrical, and/or painting experience depending on the assignment and facility.
• License Requirement:
  Must have and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• Availability to Work:
  Some shift requirements vary by location; availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.

  Regularly uses hands, sits/stands/walks for extended periods, may lift 50 pounds or more, and works in varied weather; vision requirements as described; may handle dust, chemicals, and irritants.

Salary Range
: $15.00 per hour
