Staff Attorney - Lending

Overview

Burr & Forman has an immediate opening for a staff attorney within the lending practice group. The attorney may be located in Tampa or Orlando, FL;
Greenville or Columbia, SC;
Birmingham or Mobile, AL;
Nashville, TN; or Atlanta, GA. This position requires a J.D. degree and membership in the applicable State Bar. Demonstrative work experience in commercial lending transactions (real estate and/or C&I lending) or other commercial transactions (e.g. mergers and acquisitions, general corporate, tax) is preferred, but not required. Quality candidates will be self-starters with strong research, writing, organizational, and analytical skills. The ability to work with others on teams is an absolute requirement. The selected candidate will benefit from hands-on mentoring and on the job training.

The attorney will work within Burr & Forman’s lending practice group and collaborate with colleagues on commercial lending transactions (real estate and/or C&I) and other commercial matters as needed.

• J.D. degree and membership in the applicable State Bar.
• Demonstrated ability or experience in commercial lending transactions (real estate and/or C&I lending) or other commercial transactions (e.g., mergers and acquisitions, general corporate, tax) is preferred but not required.
• Strong research, writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well on teams; collaboration is an absolute requirement.
