Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our litigation team. This role is ideal for a passionate advocate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident in the courtroom, and committed to delivering top-tier legal representation for our personal injury clients. You will handle a full litigation caseload, with the support of a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities- Handle and manage Personal Injury files from file through trial.
- Work up litigation files from filing the lawsuit, writing discovery and depositions, and trying the case.
- Willingness and ability to regularly interact with clients, adjusters, staff and other lawyers.
- Successfully lead a litigation team of 5 plus people.
- Litigate a case from beginning to end.
- Have good work ethics and present strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
- Experience in supervising and managing other team members.
- Pre-Litigation case management and negotiation experience.
- Experience handling cases involving commercial motor vehicles.
- Willing to expand knowledge of trucking litigation and obtain board certification in truck accident law.
- Willing to work independently yet be accountable.
- Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school
- Current member and in good standing of the Georgia Bar
- Minimum of 5 years of Personal Injury litigation experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Trial experience preferred
- Experiencing litigating trucking and other commercial motor vehicle cases a plus
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Move or Traverse – This position may occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascend/descend stairs to access other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove – Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
- Communication – ability to exchange accurate information so others will understand.
- Observational ability – capacity to observe details at close range.
