Duties
- Open new files and establish initial contact with clients, maintaining ongoing communication throughout the process.
- Conduct thorough investigations into each case, gathering relevant documents, and entering data into the firm’s database.
- Verify insurance coverage, address liability issues, and liaise with insurance providers.
- Manage clients' medical care, including coordinating appointments, explaining procedures, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Monitor case progress, regularly reviewing medical records, and ensuring timely updates.
- Organize and maintain case files for submission to demand writers and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Worker's Compensation law.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills and exceptional time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Independent work ethic with the ability to collaborate in a team setting.
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information.
- Comfortability with long phone calls and client communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Consistent attendance and reliability record.
- A basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology is a plus.
- Spanish-speaking skills are an added benefit.
- Ability to work in a professional office environment.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Georgia Bar Admission required.
Certifications
- Active license to practice law in Georgia.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation law.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage complex caseloads.
- Strong interpersonal skills for developing client and vendor relationships.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
- Familiarity with medical and insurance terminology is beneficial.
