You will be responsible for working and managing medical malpractice cases including drafting and reviewing discovery, e-filing court documents, working with medical experts and providing trial support. Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Litigation Paralegal with a focus on Medical Malpractice to join our esteemed legal team. This is an incredible opportunity for a professional with a strong background in legal research, case management, and trial preparation, particularly within the realm of medical malpractice. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

This role requires experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and trial materials.
  • Identify, organize and analyze case-related documents and information systematically.
  • Coordinate and manage calendars, including depositions, witness meetings and client meetings.
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with witness preparation, and attending trials when necessary.
  • Liaise with medical experts, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Conduct legal research.
  • Maintain case management system by updating with relevant information, documents, and correspondence.
Qualifications
  • Plaintiff-Side litigation, preferably in medical malpractice.
  • Proficient in discovery processes and trial preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical malpractice law, and procedures.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Candidates with trial experience will be given strong consideration.
