We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with a strong background in medical malpractice litigation to join a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in defending healthcare providers, hospitals, and insurance carriers in complex medical malpractice cases.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all phases of medical malpractice litigation, including case assessment, discovery, motion practice, and trial.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda with precision and clarity.
- Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses.
- Develop and implement effective defense strategies tailored to each case.
- Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, and internal teams regarding case status and strategy.
- Manage a caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work product.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in [Insert State].
- 3+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on medical malpractice.
- Strong knowledge of civil procedure and medical malpractice laws.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and trial skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience handling high-exposure cases and working with healthcare experts.
- Prior trial experience in medical malpractice defense.
