Legal Assistant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Atlanta, Georgia. This role requires an individual with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in legal administrative tasks. You will play a vital role in supporting attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day legal processes.

Responsibilities:

+ Prepare, draft, and proofread legal documents and entertainment contracts

+ Manage client files, maintain confidential records, and organize digital and physical documentation

+ Conduct research on entertainment law topics, industry regulations, and case precedents

+ Schedule and coordinate meetings, calls, and travel for the attorney

+ Interface professionally with clients, agents, producers, and other stakeholders

+ Track deadlines and ensure timely filings and deliverables

+ Assist in billing, invoicing, and time-entry procedures

+ Monitor ongoing case progress and provide status updates as needed

Requirements

+ Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a legal support position (entertainment law experience a plus)

+ Superb organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks

+ Strong written and verbal communication abilities

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal database/research tools

+ Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

+ Experience working in a deadline-driven environment
