State and Local Tax Associate

A law firm seeks a State and Local Tax Associate with 2-3 years of tax experience to join their practice group in Atlanta, Georgia. The successful candidate will work with a diverse range of clients on state and local tax consulting, planning, compliance, litigation, and policy matters.

• Engage in state and local tax planning and compliance.
• Participate in litigation and controversy matters.
• Collaborate with clients on tax legislation and policy issues.
• Provide exceptional client service and assume responsibility for active matters.

• 2-3 years of law firm experience or 3-5 years of accounting firm experience.
• Proficiency in income, franchise, sales and use, excise, and property taxes.
• Strong academic record with excellent writing and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a client-service mindset.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
