Morgan & Morgan is seeking a Class Action Associate Attorney with at least 2+ years' experience to join its growing class action group. This candidate in any of our offices in the US. The Class Action Attorney will help handle a heavy and complex caseload of federal and state cases related to unfair business practices, consumer protection and privacy statutes.
Responsibilities- Day-to-day handling of state and federal class action cases in various stages
- Investigation, drafting and filing of litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memoranda
- Guiding clients through the case process
- Interacting with expert witnesses, including preparation of expert reports and affidavits
- Preparing for and attending depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- Law degree from a fully accredited law school
- An active member in good standing with the State Bar Association
- Minimum 2+ years' of class action experience, including trial, deposition, and motions experience in technical, complex cases, ideally on behalf of plaintiffs
- Exceptional research skills. Candidate should be capable of scouring the earth on Westlaw to find applicable caselaw
- Law review experience preferred
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills with a close attention to detail
