The MSP Onboarding Specialist is responsible for ensuring new MSP partners successfully activate, onboard, and begin transacting quickly after signing. This role acts as the bridge between Sales, Product, and Partner Success—combining technical guidance with operational execution to create a smooth, value-driven onboarding experience.
Success in this role is measured by time-to-first-transaction, onboarding completion rates, and early partner satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Own the post-sale onboarding experience for newly signed MSP partners
- Partner closely with Sales to ensure clean handoffs and alignment on partner goals
- Guide MSPs through:
- Platform setup and configuration
- Licensing, provisioning, and marketplace alignment
- Operational workflows and best practices
- Troubleshoot early technical or operational blockers that prevent MSPs from transacting
- Educate partners on “day one” and “day thirty” success milestones
- Document onboarding processes and identify areas for improvement
- Transition onboarded MSPs smoothly to the Partner Success Manager once activation is complete
- Time to first transaction
- Percentage of MSPs transacting within first 30/60 days
- Onboarding completion rate
- Early NPS / CSAT scores
- Experience working with MSPs or in the MSP ecosystem
- Strong understanding of SaaS onboarding, marketplaces, or channel programs
- Comfortable balancing technical conversations with operational execution
- Highly organized with strong follow-through
- Experience collaborating with Sales and Customer Success teams
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future.
