Risk Control Consultant

Risk Control Consultant on the Risk Management team at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) delivers value-added risk control services to assigned commercial clients in a defined territory or industry. You’ll also assist Producers in the acquisition and retention of business.

• Provide risk control services to assigned commercial clients within a defined geography or industry vertical.
• Assist Producers in the acquisition and retention of new business.
• Collaborate with client staff to identify risk exposures and recommend control measures.
• Prepare and present risk control recommendations and reports.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry standards and client needs.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Five years of experience in a risk management consulting role (in private industry, insurance company, or equivalent)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel within assigned territory, including overnight travel on a regular basis
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills when working with senior client staff
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-based environment
• Goal- and results-oriented
• Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision

• Associate in Risk Management (ARM);
  Associate Safety Professional (ASP);
  Certified Safety Professional (CSP);
  Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or other recognized safety certifications
• Experience in multi-line coverage and target industry groups as defined by McGriff marketing
• Experience using RMIS systems and databases
