As Director of Commercial Transportation Claims, you will manage a team of Claims Professionals overseeing claims across Trucking, Garage Keeper, Specialty Vehicle, Rideshare/TNC, and Delivery. You’ll drive operational effectiveness, leverage technology and analytics, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high‑quality standards.

• Manage a unit of commercial transportation claims professionals at management and desk level
• Exceed goals and consistently overcome obstacles
• Implement best practices for claims handling (intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, recovery)
• Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Align team with client and customer expectations of the claims process
• Serve as resource for escalated claims
• Ensure accuracy and adequacy of all claim reserving
• Develop strategies to mitigate fraudulent claims and comply with legal and regulatory requirements
• Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and encourage professional growth
• Execute performance management; attract, hire, retain, and provide high‑level training
• Collaborate with internal teams (Account Management, Compliance, Claim Operations) to resolve complex claims‑related issues
• Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders (policyholders, agents, brokers, legal representatives)
• Prepare and present comprehensive claims reports, metrics, and analysis to clients and customers

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC) or JD are a plus
• 10+ years in insurance claims management in commercial transportation
• Minimum 5 years concentrated in commercial claims, with at least 5 years managing remotely
• 5+ years of detailed coverage analysis and policy interpretation
• Active home‑state adjuster’s license
• Comfortable with technology and able to evolve claims systems and processes for better efficiencies
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Integrity, ethics, and strong accountability in handling confidential information
