Society Insurance is seeking a Risk Control Representative to join our Risk Control team. The Risk Control Representative will provide risk control services by completing risk control surveys, consultative services, and technical assistance for agents, underwriters, and insureds. This is a remote, field-based position for the greater Atlanta metropolitan area.
About the Role- Conducts risk control surveys at the insureds’ locations to determine potential hazards and risk factors to be considered in underwriting/risk selection.
- Writes technically detailed reports that provide a clear assessment of risk and clearly articulates recommendations.
- Consults with insureds on ways to control hazards in order to reduce or prevent losses and influences recommendations.
- Provides technical advice/assistance and account information to underwriting business partners, insureds, and other customers for analysis and to ensure superior customer service. Responds to specific requests for assistance.
- Analyzes loss trends, recognizes opportunities to provide risk control products and/or services that can help reduce losses. Explains how their recommendations or department value-added programs can help minimize risks.
- Plans and schedules risk control evaluations with insureds and researches risk via internal and external resources in order to complete evaluations.

- Bachelor’s Degree in risk management, safety/health, or related field.
- Internship or co-op experience in risk/loss control, risk management, occupational safety, fire protection, or related field – OR – 2 years of commercial lines insurance experience.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
