Your Responsibilities

The Account Executive leads a multi-level risk management team responsible for translating risk and loss profiles into solutions, including program design and pre- and post-loss risk strategies. They build long-term trusted advisor relationships with clients, producers, and colleagues to support business growth. The Account Executive is accountable for executing account strategies by delegating and empowering account managers and analysts, always adhering to Lockton's cultural values and treating everyone with dignity and respect.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, ensuring overall satisfaction, retention, and managing escalated service issues.
  • Drive strategic planning with clients, evaluating exposure, business changes, goals, and financial health to recommend renewal and stewardship strategies, understanding market innovations and disruptors.
  • Communicate strategic matters with clients and markets; lead complex negotiations with carriers.
  • Monitor account expenses, ensure billing accuracy, and oversee overall profitability in collaboration with the producer.
  • Define strategic goals with clients, oversee marketing strategies, review quotes, conduct negotiations, and document renewal strategies, resolving escalated renewal issues.
  • Support new carrier relationships and act as an escalation point during renewal processes.
  • Manage client onboarding activities, including documentation and system setup.
  • Establish key reporting metrics and deliver reports to clients, highlighting key insights.
  • Prioritize customer focus by understanding client needs, driving service excellence, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge, applying expertise to complex tasks.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, engaging audiences effectively.
  • Use business acumen to understand market and industry trends, contributing to strategic decisions.
  • Ensure organizational focus on critical priorities, measuring progress and ensuring accountability.
  • Establish and execute action plans efficiently, managing priorities and resources effectively.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years in client services for property and casualty insurance, including servicing and placement.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
  • Current Property and Casualty license or ability to obtain immediately.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of P&C coverage lines and risk financing strategies.
  • Strong relationships with insurance markets or ability to develop them quickly.
  • Negotiation skills and understanding of risk positioning.
  • Knowledge of industry legislation and legal issues.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence at senior levels.
