Overview
Metas Solutions has an immediate opening for an experienced Portfolio Governance Manager located in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Governance Specialist on our Portfolio Management (PPM) Governance team, you will provide oversight and guide a consistent implementation of a government software development life cycle (SDLC) governance process in accordance with the HHS/CDC Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) governance process.
Responsibilities- Maintaining, refining and enforcing governance frameworks for managing the IT portfolio, ensuring all projects comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
- Leading risk management initiatives for IT portfolios, identifying potential risks, assessing their impact, and developing risk mitigation strategies
- Supporting our client in managing IT investments and ensuring they align with business objectives and comply with regulatory guidelines
- Providing oversight and ensuring project portfolios stay within scope, schedule, and budget
- Facilitating portfolio-level decision-making processes, ensuring that stakeholders are engaged, and decisions are based on data and risk assessments
- Working closely with project managers to ensure proper governance processes are followed and project risks are managed
- Preparing and presenting portfolio reports, risk assessments, and other key performance metrics to leadership
- 5+ years of experience in IT portfolio governance, program management, or project management
- Experience with risk management practices, including risk identification, analysis, and mitigation
- Familiarity with portfolio management software or project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, etc.)
- Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, PMI, etc.)
- Possession of strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with agile methodologies and managing IT portfolios using agile frameworks
- Experience with financial management for IT portfolios, including cost-benefit analysis and budgeting
- Must be US Citizen and with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance (Public Trust
5) within a reasonable period - Market competitive salary, commensurate with experience and education
