We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Power BI Developer with 12+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, and systems development. The ideal candidate will serve as a thought leader in driving business intelligence initiatives, identifying system inefficiencies through real-time data evaluation, and developing forward-thinking BI solutions that improve efficiency and productivity across business units.
This role requires strong expertise in Power BI development, advanced data modeling, and stakeholder collaboration to transform complex datasets into meaningful business insights.
Required Skills- 12+ years of overall IT/Analytics experience with 5–10+ years in Power BI development.
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query Editor (Must Have).
- Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data modeling concepts (Must Have).
- Deep understanding of data visualization best practices and dashboard storytelling.
- Experience handling structured and unstructured data across multiple systems.
- Strong business communication skills for requirement gathering and executive-level presentations.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification or equivalent preferred.
- Drive requirement identification across business units and evaluate system processes using real-time data insights.
- Create and manage transparent project plans with consistent communication.
- Conduct quality assurance across all stages of BI and systems development.
- Develop and document user requirements for production systems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, Security, Compliance) to develop collaborative analytical solutions.
- Provide ongoing systems analysis and deliver monthly status reports.
- Develop documentation, analytics reports, and research-backed recommendations for executives.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships to optimize systems integration and performance.
- Design, develop, and enhance visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, cloud platforms) ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Perform advanced data analysis and deliver actionable business insights.
- Optimize Power BI solutions for performance, scalability, and usability.
Leverage advanced features such as DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service. - Provide training and best practices to promote data-driven decision-making.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulations.
- Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in analytics and systems development environments.
- High proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Experience with Business Objects (preferred).
- Knowledge of ITIL Foundations (preferred).
- Excellent ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
