NTT DATA's Client is seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in building scalable data platforms, modern data warehouses, and cloud‑based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and cloud technologies such as Azure and Snowflake. This role involves designing and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality and governance, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouse and lakehouse architectures.
- Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, DBT, Databricks, and Spark.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for high‑performance data processing.
- Implement data ingestion frameworks for structured and unstructured data sources (APIs, databases, cloud storage).
- Perform data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional modeling).
- Ensure data quality, lineage, validation checks, and governance standards.
- Support cloud data platform implementations (Azure, Snowflake, Synapse, etc.).
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD processes using Git, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in data engineering.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in SQL and performance tuning.
- Hands‑on experience with Snowflake or Teradata.
- Experience building data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, DBT, Databricks, or Spark.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (fact/dimension, indexing, partitioning).
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP a plus).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Dev Ops practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Must be onsite at the client site 2‑3 days/week in Atlanta, GA.
- Experience with large‑scale enterprise data warehouse migrations.
- Financial services, healthcare, telecom, or large enterprise domain experience.
- Experience implementing data governance and metadata management solutions.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake, AWS) preferred.
- Databases & Querying: SQL, Snowflake, Teradata
- Cloud & Big Data: Azure (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake), Databricks, Spark
- ETL & Transformation: ADF, DBT, Informatica (nice to have)
- Dev Ops & Tools: Git, Jenkins, JIRA
- Programming: Python / Py Spark
