Tax – Americas Tax Technology Group (ATTG) Development Manager (Engineering Manager / Technology Product Manager) The opportunity

Join our Americas Tax Technology Group (ATTG) as a Development Manager and lead the creation of innovative technology solutions that transform how our tax professionals deliver services. In this role, you will spearhead the end-to-end development of digital tools – from AI‑powered analytics platforms to mobile and web applications – that streamline tax processes and deliver value to our clients. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams (tax domain experts, product owners, architects, and IT specialists) to translate complex business requirements into scalable, cloud‑enabled technology products.

This is a high‑impact leadership position, ideal for a forward‑looking engineering manager who combines technical excellence with strong product mindset and team leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development:
    Lead the full software development lifecycle for tax tech products—design, build, test, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable solutions.
  • Technical Leadership:
    Guide architecture and design decisions aligned with enterprise standards. Collaborate with architects and Info Sec to ensure compliance and produce technical documentation.
  • Agile & Dev Ops:
    Drive Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing, and 24/7 system reliability.
  • Team Leadership:
    Manage and mentor cross‑functional teams across locations. Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture and support team development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Partner with product owners and business leaders to align technical solutions with business goals. Communicate progress and challenges effectively.
  • Vendor & Budget Oversight:
    Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and budgets, ensuring quality and cost‑effective delivery.
  • Innovation:
    Promote adoption of emerging technologies (AI/ML, cloud, automation). Lead initiatives to improve productivity, code quality, and system performance.

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • A bachelor’s in CS/Engineering (Master’s preferred). 10+ years in software development, 5+ in a leadership role.
  • Master’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • Experience in tax or finance tech, or ability to learn domain quickly.
  • Certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM) and familiarity with modern architectures (e.g., serverless, containers, observability, compliance standards).
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Expertise in large‑scale systems, .NET, Azure, microservices, APIs, and responsive UI development.
  • Data & Cloud:
    Experience with data pipelines, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and data governance tools like Collibra and Informatica.
  • Agile & Dev Ops:
    Proven leadership in Agile/Lean environments. Hands‑on with CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
  • Leadership & Communication:
    Strong team management, stakeholder engagement, and vendor coordination skills.
  • Problem‑Solving:
    Analytical mindset with proactive decision‑making and prioritization in fast‑paced settings.
Ideally you will have
  • Hands‑on experience delivering AI/ML‑enabled products or features, particularly in enterprise or data‑rich environments
