Job Description

The Role:

You will manage ITAM activities that include maintaining the life cycles of software and hardware repositories, from acquisition through final disposition.

You will maintain compliance, manage software renewals, lifecycle planning, cost optimization, and work with partners to ensure the timely delivery of software and hardware assets that enable our business to function seamlessly and securely.

The Duties

  • Work with business stakeholders to manage and maintain data integrity and completeness of the IT asset inventories, Hardware Asset Management Database, and Software Asset Management Database.
  • Act as a liaison between the development and operations teams to communicate changes and expected issues in the production environment for asset management.
  • Responsible for the software asset portfolio with respect to acquisition, request fulfillment under SLA, utilization, tracking, compliance, and final disposition of assets.
  • Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and reduce costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
  • Responsible for collecting information for budgeting, software compliance and inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
  • Responsible for reporting on and analyzing software installations versus software licenses.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains.
  • Participate in defining requirements, processes, and procedures for asset management strategies for the enterprise.
  • Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives to automate processes and achieve operational excellence.
  • Work alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs.
  • Responsible for analysis that assists with the management of maintenance, support, and license renewals in advance of their expiration.
  • Maintain a hardware inventory of assets within the appropriate management systems and ensure assets are properly documented (e.g., serial number, asset tag, name, etc.).
  • Submit purchase requests for new software and hardware assets and related supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate with the enterprise procurement and accounting areas and vendors on ordering, receiving, and invoicing of software and hardware assets.
  • Provide support to IT and Legal areas in the contract management areas of RFI/RFP, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and contract administration for assets.
  • Responsible for maintaining the ESG-related data attributes and platform module.
  • Provide reporting (scheduled and ad hoc) as needed to support ITAM Governance activities.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • 5+ years of hands‑on hardware and software experience.
  • 5+ years of hands‑on hardware and software purchasing experience.
  • Deep knowledge of Configuration Management practices.
  • Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to use the Service Now platform.
  • Broad knowledge of IT Asset Management and Discovery tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tasks and projects to required deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and proven research ability.
  • Effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Ability to build trust, innovate, and apply problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to research hardware and software trends.
  • Experience with AI tools to manage processes and relevant tasks efficiently
