IT Applications Engineer V -SAS, Python, R, Databricks, GitHub, SQL, SharePoint, PowerBI

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for supporting our enterprise-wide migration from legacy SAS platforms to modern technologies such as Databricks and Power

BI. They will support efforts to set scope definition and roadmaps, outline processes, and deliver on end-state goals, while partnering closely with business teams and leadership across domains. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen and an understanding of analytic development and delivery processes.

This role will aid with customer migrations as well as help align modern platforms to support the analytic community needs. The candidate will support activities such as migration planning and execution, customer outreach and workshop, champion and readiness programs, data content and code assessment and migration, performance tuning, documentation of training materials and best practices, platform onboarding, customer support, workflow alignment, and fit for use guidance.

This senior level employee is primarily responsible for translating business requirements and functional specifications into software solutions, for contributing to and leveraging the technical direction for the development of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions, and for serving as a technical expert for project teams while providing consultation to help ensure new and existing software solutions are developed.

• As part of the IT Engineering job family, this position is responsible for leveraging DEVOPS, and both Waterfall and Agile practices, to design, develop, and deliver resilient, secure, multi-channel, high-volume, high-transaction, on/off-premise, cloud-based solutions.
• Provides insight into recommendations for technical solutions that meet design and functional needs.
