Our client is a leading global airline headquartered in Atlanta, recognized for its expansive domestic and international network, operational excellence, and commitment to delivering a world-class customer experience. Based out of Atlanta, the are looking to hire a Senior Business Analyst on a Contract basis.

Contract Length - 12 Month Contract (Potential for extension or conversion)

Job Description

This role plays a critical role in ensuring the resilience, stability, and continuity of enterprise technology operations as well as for driving Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution, partnering with technology and business stakeholders, and guiding senior leadership on risk posture and mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate has deep experience in Disaster Recovery processes, strong technical acumen, and the ability to translate complex technology impacts into clear business implications.

Qualifications
  • Lead and execute Disaster Recovery processes, including development, testing, recovery execution, and continuous improvement of recovery procedures.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for DR plans, runbooks, recovery workflows, and post incident reviews.
  • Identify technology risks, evaluate potential business impacts, and elevate issues to Senior Leadership with clear recommendations for mitigation.
  • Support and enhance the organization’s IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory, operational, and industry standards.
  • Conduct and apply Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to determine critical systems, recovery time objectives (RTO), and recovery point objectives (RPO).
  • Serve as a key liaison between technology teams and business units, translating technical risks, dependencies, and recovery requirements into strategic business terms.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize technical and operational data from multiple sources to support decision making and prioritize recovery needs.
  • Identify gaps in processes, data flows, or recovery coverage and propose improvements to strengthen organizational resilience.
  • Coordinate and facilitate cross‑functional meetings, workshops, and technical discussions centered around DR and risk topics.
  • Minimum 6 years experience as an IT Business Analyst
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery and Governance Support
  • Expertise in Business Impact Analysis (BIA), IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR), Business Continuity Management Tool (BCM) and airline operations to support critical initiatives
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery efforts and advocate for automation where possible
  • Knowledge of the Service Now platform and how to enhance product development
  • Planning and estimating the specific requirements involved in a project or strategic initiative
  • Facilitating meetings with organizational leadership and organizing presentations
Responsibilities
  • Provides BU Support, resolving issues not requiring extensive business / system knowledge.
  • Communicates incident status / clarifies issues with business partner.
  • Escalates incidents to seniors where business process and extensive system knowledge is required.
  • Resolves application incidents and problems that require app code and/or op modifications such as lower complexity software problem resolution, training issues and documentation, and data problems requiring moderate business analysis, extensive business, and/or system knowledge.
  • Responsible for a liaison role between the business and IT services providers to ensure functional specs are understood and they have what they need to develop their tech specs.
  • Analyzes issues to be solved within an enterprise and helps provide solutions to meet the desired business outcomes through the use of IT
  • Understands and documents business requirements and user requirements to ensure system designs meets business needs.
  • Ensures knowledge transfer to the support organization occurs prior to system go‑live.
  • Schedules and communicates the system go‑live date.
  • Develops and/or update documentation and training materials.
  • Ensures IT and SOX compliance is covered.
