Senior Procurement Analyst – Atlanta, GA – Onsite

Contribute to the day‑to‑day operations of the district’s IT procurement function. Accountable for participating in procurement strategies, defining business requirements, identifying opportunities to improve processes, and keeping management aware of procurement status. Represent the district IT procurement team in work groups when appropriate.

• Aids in IT procurements day‑to‑day functions and operations.
• Assists with customer needs for IT hardware and software questions/requests.
• Coordinates and resolves all IT procurement hardware and software customer service issues.
• Mants the software license tracking for all software purchased in the district.
• Ensures license compliance and software standards are met for all requests.
• Initiates compliance activities with internal functional areas (e.g., IT security and business partnership managers, legal, finance and planning) to vet new software titles before they enter the client’s network.
• Investigates functional problems or customer service issues and recommends corrective actions to IT Services and Solutions management.
• Familiarizes employees with IT Services and Solutions policies, standards and procedures; serves as liaison for business Technology and Security management and staff.
• Maintains any necessary changes to the internal IT Procurement site.

Education: High school diploma or GED, Associate’s Degree or 2 years equivalent experience.

Experience: Less than two years.

• Basic understanding of information technology customer service.
• Software licensing, PC specifications and functions.
• Technical Certifications/Licenses: ITIL.

• Ordering hardware & software for the entire 6th district.
• Experience with Service Now and Ariba is a plus.
• Submitting orders and interacting with IT vendors.
• Critical thinking; think outside the box and ask questions.

• Follow procurement processes.
• Check that items internal staff are ordering are not duplicates of existing inventory.
• Interact with and take direction from Lead IT Procurement Specialist.

On‑site 4 days per week; remote 1 day per week.
