The Experience Designer – VCA Product & Experience Design will join our Product & Experience Design Team to help grow clients’ businesses through a consultative approach to experience design.
Job DescriptionAs a full‑stack experience designer you will use human‑centered design thinking, UX/UI, research, prototyping, facilitation, and client‑facing skills to deliver polished digital experiences and support RFPs and special projects. You will help understand emerging payment trends, Visa’s capabilities, and product services to tailor solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities- Plan and execute creative workshops with Research and Product; synthesize insights into defensible visions, frameworks, and concepts.
- Identify user needs and translate business goals into product and service recommendations.
- Rapidly create storyboards, mockups, prototypes and integrate internal or external solutions.
- Promote concept exploration to drive bold and innovative thinking.
- Connect Visa’s business model, ecosystem, and end‑users to guide design decisions.
- Engage with clients and co‑develop meaningful solutions using Visa’s capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Product, Design, Research, and others) to build new products and experiences.
- Improve status quo with creative, calculated risk‑taking to deliver new products and processes.
- Articulate possibility, viability, and feasibility of design recommendations.
- Support in‑depth market testing using qualitative and quantitative methods.
This is a hybrid position; days in office will be confirmed by the hiring manager. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Qualifications- Basic: 2+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 2+ years with an advanced degree.
- Preferred: 3+ years with bachelor’s, or 2+ years with an advanced degree, plus experience in design consultancies, digital product teams, or established startups.
- Portfolio required – link to online portfolio.
- 4 years experience with bachelor’s or 2+ years with advanced degree; preferred in design consultancies, digital product, or startups.
- 4 years as a product/digital designer in in‑house, agency, or cross‑functional teams.
- Strong fluency in Figma, Fig Jam, Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Knowledge of human‑centered design thinking, UX/UI principles, service design, and user research.
- Experience creating user journey maps, service blueprints, wireframes, polished UI, rapid prototypes, and strategy presentations.
- Strong understanding of accessibility principles.
- Excellent communication; articulate ideas to diverse stakeholders.
- Independent judgment; minimal direction required.
- Collaborative partner; build upon business vision with sound design principles.
- Organized, detail‑oriented; prioritize multiple projects.
- Self‑starter who brings energy and enthusiasm.
Work Hours: Varies with department needs.
Travel: 5–10% of the time.

Compensation & BenefitsUS applicants only:
Estimated salary range $104,600 to $190,900 USD per year, potentially including sales incentive payments if applicable. Salary may vary based on job‑related factors. Eligible for bonus and equity.
