Revenue Systems Architect

Location:
100% Remote (Must be US based - EST/CST time zone preferred)

Contract duration: 3 months+ (can extend or convert full-time)

Hourly rate: $75- $125/hr W2

Our PE backed SaaS client has completed multiple acquisition recently and is in need of help during the post acquisition integration process of consolidating all entities into one GL. Candidates must have extensive revenue systems experience within SaaS based companies.

• Lead a “clean slate” initiative for FY26 revenue and AR infrastructure
• Architect scalable, automated revenue workflows in a $300M SaaS environment
• Replace manual Excel patches with system-driven revenue waterfalls
• Improve data integrity across Salesforce, billing, ERP, and reporting systems
• Help design the future-state revenue engine for a PE-backed platform

• Audit and redesign the end-to-end revenue recognition and quote-to-cash workflow
• Transition manual revenue waterfalls into automated logic within Sage Intacct and billing systems
• Optimize integrations between Salesforce, Chargebee (or similar), and ERP
• Eliminate manual CSV uploads and reconciliation inefficiencies
• Build interim Excel automation tools (Power Query, advanced formulas, macros) to stabilize workflows while permanent integrations are completed
• Design scalable commission and partner revenue-share accrual processes
• Partner with Billing Operations to formalize “zero-defect” invoice and AR standards
• Document and institutionalize revenue and O2C SOPs for long-term stability

• 7+ years of experience in SaaS revenue accounting and/or revenue systems consulting
• Deep ASC 606 knowledge with ability to architect revenue waterfalls and deferred revenue logic
• Strong hands-on experience with Sage Intacct or Net Suite in multi-entity environments
• Experience with subscription billing platforms such as Chargebee, Zuora, or equivalent
• Proven experience improving or redesigning Quote-to-Cash system workflows
• Advanced Excel skills including Power Query and complex formula-based automation
• Experience operating in private equity-backed or high-growth SaaS environments
• Ability to operate independently in fast-moving, transformation-driven environments

• Experience with Snowflake or data warehouse validation related to revenue reporting
• Prior ERP or revenue module implementation experience
• Experience supporting multi-entity consolidations
