Symply Fi currently has 3 open Technical Support Apprenticeship positions open
This position is a work training program on our tech support team.
Selected candidates will receive up to 6 months of paid on the job training to gain hands on IT support experience that builds on their existing IT training, IT certification or IT degree.
As an apprentice, you will work part-time (up to 30 hours a week) on our helpdesk team to gain hands-on experience with the possibility of a full-time position at the end of the program.
The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 1 IT certification (A+, Net+, CCNA etc), participation in an IT training program like per Scholas or an associates degree in an IT related field.
This position requires working weekend and 2nd shifts.
Experience working in a restaurant or other retail environment is a strong plus!
Responsibilities- Work part-time onsite, in the office, as scheduled - including weekend shifts.
- Follow documentation & workflow procedures to troubleshoot, resolve or escalate customer issues.
- Learn how to successfully troubleshoot and resolve Layer 1, 2 and 3 network connectivity issues
- Learn how to successfully troubleshoot and resolve issues with customer end-user devices including POS, Windows/MAC PCs, tablets and VoIP phones.
- Learn how to successfully m onitor customer site status dashboard and proactively respond to outages.
- Part-time, up to 30 hours per week as scheduled
- Weekend shifts as scheduled
- 2nd shift (11am to 8pm) as scheduled
Experience and knowledge you must have
- 2 year of general work experience
- At least 1 of the following:
- IT certification (A+, Net+, CCNA etc) and/or,
- successful completion of an IT training program like per Scholas and/or
- an associates degree in an IT related field
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP & general networking concepts
- Strong work ethic and desire to grow your IT knowledge and skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- You must be available on weekends and for 2nd shift (11am to 8pm)
What you will get from us
- $20/hr during training
- $45,000 starting salary if you are converted to full time at the end of your training.
