Geotab is seeking a Manager, Solutions Engineering who will lead a team that showcases and adapts Geotab solutions for government customers in Canada and the United States. This role requires a deep understanding of government compliance requirements, security protocols, and procurement processes, and the ability to address the needs of public sector customers. You will develop and manage a team that customizes solutions using Geotab s open platform to meet government requirements and support federal, state, and local agencies in mission-critical challenges.

• Lead and develop a solutions engineering team focused on government customers, driving Geotab s public sector strategies. Create tools and educational content for internal teams while advancing business objectives.
• Identify gaps in the product ecosystem related to government compliance and security standards (including FedRAMP, FISMA, and other federal requirements) and propose alternative solutions that meet regulatory requirements.
• Provide feedback to product and development teams on government-specific needs; mentor your team and collaborate with government sales, customer care, product management, and other solutions engineering teams.
• Ensure the team maintains appropriate security clearances and understands government acquisition processes, including responding to RFPs and RFIs and supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences within government agencies; demonstrate strong leadership and project management across multiple priorities.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in government IT infrastructure and compliance frameworks; align with public sector business goals and pursue revenue growth opportunities in federal, state, and local markets.

• Define and optimize team processes to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead meetings, 1:1s, planning sessions, and retrospectives to foster continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
• Promote a collaborative environment and maintain the team’s technical knowledge of the Geotab ecosystem.
• Support performance management with constructive feedback and career development planning.
• Strategically allocate projects and resources to maximize impact and balance workloads.
• Set SMART key performance areas for the team and individuals, aligning with department and company objectives.
• Plan for evolving resourcing needs through hiring and workforce planning.
• Manage team budgets through cost optimization.
• Offer technical leadership in scoping projects and coordinating with partners and customers on technical solutioning and ecosystem optimization.
• Collaborate with partners and customers to optimize utilization of Geotab products and solutions, tailoring approaches to meet specific needs.
