Voya Investment Management is seeking an experienced, highly motivated and analytical Investment Data Management Analyst
. In this key role you are expected to set and implement the instrument data mastering approach, governance, quality, and delivery for the business. This position plays a crucial role in facilitating the data needs of the business through partnership with IT and external data providers. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining data integrity in the investment domain.

This position has been designated as a hybrid-office/home role. Details of your in-office schedule will be finalized with your manager.

• Design and Implementation:
  Drive the design and implementation of instrument mastering concepts, approach and processes with a strong emphasis on understanding the business need across various functions. Take the lead in shepherding projects end-to-end and partner with IT to decide on future-state architectural decisions of the instrument data.
• Instrument Mastering:
  Perform instrument mastering across various sources and aspects of a financial instrument such as instrument types, sectors, issuers, reference attributes, cross-reference etc. Monitor and resolve data discrepancies timely. Ensure new instruments and changes to existing instruments are timely identified and captured in the mastered instrument data, including nuanced aspects of each instrument.
• Market Data Providers:
  Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, ICE) to source instrument-level attributes based on internal stakeholders’ needs.
• Data Delivery for Production:
  Confirm data reception per daily and monthly requirements and ensure it is captured in the instrument data mastering. Collaborate with IT to ensure data is loaded completely and accurately into the data warehouse.
• Data Control and Resolution:
  Create and manage data controls that ensure timeliness, completeness, consistency, and accuracy. Perform forensic data analysis to identify issues and provide root-cause analysis. Monitor and resolve data discrepancies timely as both a tactical measure and long-term remediation.
• Data Governance:
  Document data pathways with business specifications, change control, a data dictionary, and data lineage.
• Interface with the Business to Facilitate Dynamic Requirements:
  Adapt to evolving business needs and regulations. Analyze, prioritize, and communicate data needs to the business development team and IT, helping the business understand data sources.
• Investment Solutions:
  Coordinate with vendors and investment teams to propose and support creative solutions related to security master data. Represent the team with knowledge of key processes and systems.
