Job Summary

Baer is looking for SAP Procurement Consultant for a 9+ month project.

Title: SAP Procurement Consultant
Location: Hybrid - 75% Travel
Duration: 9 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or Individual C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)

• Lead and support S/4
  
  HANA Production Planning and Procurement work streams in a discrete manufacturing environment.
• Conduct design workshops, gather business requirements, and translate them into functional solutions related to production/process orders and procurement processes.
• Develop and manage production master data such as Bill of Materials (BOM), routings/master recipes, and understand dependencies across work centers, cost centers, activity types, and control keys.
• Configure production order types to enable cost collection, support inventory movements, and ensure correct back flushing functionality.
• Integrate SAP with third‑party systems for shop order confirmations and procurement‑related interfaces.
• Prepare functional specifications for interfaces, integrations, reports, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with the data migration team to define and execute the master data migration strategy for production and procurement data.
• Support end‑to‑end testing cycles, including scenario preparation, issue resolution, and user guidance.
• Explain SAP reporting capabilities and provide guidance on available reporting options within S/4
  
  HANA.
• Obtain sign‑offs for business process design documents, configuration rationale documents, and testing deliverables.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment across procurement, production, logistics, and finance processes.

• 10+ years of experience as an SAP Sourcing and Procurement or Supply Chain Consultant/Solution Architect.
• Minimum of 5 full lifecycle SAP implementations, with strong hands‑on experience in SAP S/4
  
  HANA Sourcing & Procurement and integration with other modules (PP, MM, QM, FI/CO, etc.).
• Experience implementing core S/4
  
  HANA Production Planning functionalities for discrete manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of supplier lifecycle management, supplier performance (SLP), and experience with 1–2 full SLP implementations is a plus.
• Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, procurement operations, and production execution.
• Technical familiarity with ABAP debugging; knowledge of APEX, Informatica, and Coupa integration is an advantage.
• Experience supporting greenfield and brownfield implementations, system upgrades, and production support.
• Strong project management skills and familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in construction or manufacturing industry environments is desirable.
• Bachelor’s Degree
