Senior IT Project Manager

(Manufacturing, IT Systems & Custom Development)

Position Summary
  • The Senior IT Project Manager leads complex, cross-functional IT initiatives supporting manufacturing operations, enterprise systems, and custom application development. This role is accountable for end-to-end delivery of projects that span plant operations, supply chain, finance, and corporate IT, with a strong emphasis on system integration, custom development, and operational reliability in a manufacturing environment.
  • The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing IT programs in manufacturing settings, partnering with business and plant stakeholders, and delivering both packaged and custom-built technology solutions that drive efficiency, standardization, and business value.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project & Program Leadership
  • Lead end to end delivery of medium-to-large IT projects, including custom application development, system integrations, manufacturing systems (e.g., MES, WMS, ERP), and infrastructure initiatives
  • Own project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality, ensuring delivery on time and within approved funding and governance models.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, financial forecasts, resource plans, and status reporting for executive and business stakeholders.
  • Manufacturing & Plant-Focused Delivery
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, and plant leadership to ensure IT solutions align with production workflows, safety, compliance, and uptime requirements
  • Manage deployments across multiple plants or facilities, including coordination of cutovers, testing, training, and post go live stabilization.
  • Understand and mitigate risks specific to manufacturing environments, including downtime, change management, and operational continuity.
  • Custom Development & Systems Integration
  • Lead projects involving custom software development, enhancements, and integrations between enterprise platforms and plant systems.
  • Coordinate internal development teams, external vendors, and system integrators to deliver scalable, supportable solutions.
  • Ensure technical designs align with enterprise architecture standards, security, and long term maintainability.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for business sponsors, plant leaders, IT partners, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate steering committees, project reviews, and executive updates with clear communication of progress, risks, and decisions.
  • Manage vendor contracts, deliverables, and performance to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
