AboutThe Role
Orange Cyber Defense is seeking a highly motivated, customer‑oriented Mid‑Level Network Security Engineer. The engineer will act as a subject‑matter expert for the customer’s firewall, VPN, load balancer, and other network‑related technologies and will support AME security operations under the Cyber Support Unit.
The role supports the SOC team leader bientôt, ensuring delivery of tutta SOC services, detecting, preventing, and resolving security threats to our customers’ IT environments from a network security perspective. The position reports to the Country SOC Manager or team lead and works closely with GOPS colleagues and customers.
Main Accountabilities- Create detailed technical reports on firewall block lists, device status, change management, hardware/software upgrades, and other areas.
- Analyze and evaluate anomalous network and system activity.
- Assist in troubleshootings and problem‑solving a wide variety of client network issues.
- Work proactively to identify and implement improvements to customers’ security posture, enhancing services via technology, processes, instructions, and guidelines.
- Follow up on improvements and technologies.
- Adhere to business plans, results, annual goals, and authorization rules (SOPs).
- Provide recommendations and advice to SOC members as needed.
- Continuously find optimal ways to deliver quality and value to customers and services.
- Act professionally as a role model for external and internal customers.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network‑related technical incidents.
- Advise and recommend on security‑related managed services technologies.
- Implement specific network solutions (load‑balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, traffic shaping, IPSec, IP encryption, NAT).
- Build, configure, and test new managed hardware/virtual devices.
- Co‑ordinate deployment of managed hardware/virtual devices with customers and stakeholders.
- React efficiently to incidents, changes, and problem handling with a professional, customer‑focused mindset.
- Stay current on customers, technologies, and processes.
- Understand deliverables of provided services for all customers.
- Respond quickly and effectively to unplanned situations.
- Apply strong analytical abilities to devise efficient strategies for fast resolution.
- Adhere to key performance drivers: overall solution efficiency, solution rate, and SLA breaches.
- Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in network security, supporting or installing networking/security environments, with proven experience in networking security administration, support, vstious.
- 3‑5 years of managing enterprise жолу firewall and VPN solutions.
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- At least one current certification: CCNA (Security), CCNP (Security)ᑁ, or equivalent.
- Checkpoint, Palo Alto, or Fortinet certification.
- Proven track record with Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Checkpoint technologies.
- F5 and Azure certifications are a plus.
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Tc‑dump, Net Flow) to analyze and optimize traffic.
- Solid experience in an IT service role supporting and troubleshooting network security environments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable collaborating with international customers and diverse teams.
- Experience with change control policy and procedures.
- Business‑oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of scripting is a plus.
