Data Center Technician position involves in-depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair as well as participating in an on‑call rotation.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that enable customers to continually access the innovation they rely on.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers. NOTE:

A lump sum stipend will be provided to eligible candidates who relocate for this position.

• Perform server rack installations, hardware break‑fix on various components, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents that impact service availability. Carry out routine network, server hardware, and operating system repairs to contribute to overall availability of AWS services.
• Serve as the primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
• Perform on‑call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
• Help interview, train and onboard new team members.

• Lifting and moving material up to 40 pounds each.
• Working in cramped and/or elevated locations.
• Perform bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
• Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Work shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations (covering both night and day shifts).
• Support data centers in various operational stages; the position may be assigned to a facility still under development, requiring travel to established locations for training until the designated site becomes fully operational.

• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.
• Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational.
• Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility.
• Candidates must be able to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites as required.

Shift work will include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
