We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Technician to support day-to-day geographic information system (GIS) operations. This role focuses on maintaining accurate GIS data, producing maps and visualizations, and supporting GIS Analysts on more complex projects. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with GIS tools, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced technical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine GIS tasks, including data entry, data maintenance, and database updates to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Create maps, visualizations, and other geospatial products using GIS software and tools.
- Maintain and update GIS databases in a timely manner to support ongoing projects and operational needs.
- Collaborate with GIS Analysts and project teams on complex mapping and spatial analysis tasks.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data inconsistencies or errors within GIS datasets.
- Provide input and feedback on GIS tools, workflows, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality.
- 2–4 years of experience working with GIS software, tools, and databases.
- Diploma or certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field.
- Experience with map creation, data management, and GIS database maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage routine tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and follow established GIS standards.
