Business Analyst - P&C Insurance

About the job: The Business Analyst will work with business stakeholders to understand, define, and document business processes and software requirements for technology initiatives within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain. This role supports the delivery of digital solutions, ensuring alignment with business strategy and customer needs.

What you will do at Sogeti:

• Understand short‑ and long‑term business strategy and translate it into actionable technology requirements.
• Develop expertise in the functionality and operation of digital services, solutions, and products supported by the Business Technology team.
• Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams—communicating business requirements to Product Owners and Agile teams while translating technical concepts for business users.
• Document current business processes and identify opportunities for efficient, cost‑effective improvements in partnership with technical leads.
• Capture, write, and maintain functional and non‑functional requirements for Agile and Lean delivery teams, including use cases and workflow diagrams.
• Create and execute test cases for assigned user stories; verify results and report outcomes.
• Lead preparation and facilitation of Sprint Reviews and System Demos.
• Manage change requests using enterprise change management tools and support adoption of new technology and process changes.
• Define, track, and support agreement on service-level targets and quality assurance metrics.
• Extract test data using SQL queries when needed to support testing and validation.

What you will bring:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or IT Business Systems Analyst.
• 2+ years of domain experience in P&C Insurance and Reinsurance, including underwriting, rating, reinsurance processes, large‑account pricing tools, and data‑warehouse concepts.
• Proven experience eliciting, analyzing, and communicating functional and non‑functional requirements in Agile and Lean environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Experience delivering digital solutions on cloud platforms (preferred).
• Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
