Schedule:
40 hours a week - 8am-5pm. Mon-Fri.

Interview Process- Phone/Teams Interview (~30 min) with DBA Team
- Technical DBA Test (~60 min) online/on-prem

We are seeking a Jr. level SQL Server DBA to join our IT team and support production database environments. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with SQL Server administration (3+ years), performance tuning, backups, disaster recovery, and SSIS/SSRS (2+ years). You’ll work closely with developers, analysts, and IT leadership to ensure database systems are secure, optimized, and highly available.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain SQL Server databases, including backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Optimize queries, indexes, stored procedures, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with audit and departmental policies.
- Assist developers with query tuning and database design.
- Implement and manage database alerts, notifications, and maintenance plans.
- Support high availability configurations and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and support production incidents.
- Collaborate with various teams during all phases of the SDLC.
- Maintain documentation and provide detailed reporting on database activities.
- Plan and execute database upgrades and installations.
- Manage disk space and storage utilization.
- Support data archiving and purging strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
- 2+ years of experience with SSIS and SSRS.
- Experience in high availability environments.
- Working knowledge of Power Shell
. - Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑motivated and team oriented.
- Experience with Red Gate and / or Idera SQL Compliance Manager.
- Familiarity with database partitioning, archiving, and purging.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Always On Availability Groups.
- Experience with SQL Server versions 2014 through 2022.
- Microsoft SQL Server certification is a plus.
- Background in SQL development (SSIS/SSRS).
- Project planning and attention to detail.
