The Robinson College of Business is seeking an IT Support Specialist (Intermediate) to join College Technology Services. Join a High‑Impact IT Team Supporting Innovation in Business Education. This role is ideal for a service‑oriented IT professional who thrives in a fast‑paced academic environment and enjoys supporting faculty, staff, and students through reliable, forward‑thinking technology solutions.
HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DOAs a key member of the IT support team, you will provide hands‑on technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students—ensuring classrooms, offices, research spaces, and events remain operational, secure, and technology‑enabled.
Key responsibilities and duties:- Install, troubleshoot, and repair computing hardware, software, audiovisual systems, networking, and mobile devices.
- Provide end‑user support on a wide range of requests, including connectivity, access, security, training, and innovation.
- Support Windows/Mac operating systems and deliver training as necessary.
- Support GSU Enterprise services such as identity management, campus Wi‑Fi, Microsoft Active Directory/O365, and printer management.
- Support and understand the technical tools used by faculty and staff in support of their academic and administrative goals.
- Support academic learning spaces and events.
- Assist with cybersecurity tasks, remediation, and compliance across the college.
- Handle sensitive information included in student systems, faculty research, faculty/staff systems, and other data.
- Track and resolve incidents using the Service Now ticketing system.
- Breakdown, move, and set up equipment and peripherals as needed.

USG Retirement Options
- Optional Retirement Plan – ORP is a 401(a) Defined Contribution Plan. Employees contribute 6%, and USG contributes 9.24% to the plan. Employees are immediately vested.
- Teacher Retirement System – TRS is a Defined Benefit Plan, a traditional public pension plan. Employees contribute 6%, and USG contributes 19.81% to the plan. Your retirement benefit is calculated by factoring in years of service, final salary, and a 2% multiplier. Employees are vested after 10 years.

- Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience, or a combination of education and related experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise tools such as Active Directory and Office 365.
- The ability to understand and use cloud‑based services.
- Understanding of server and storage hardware and operating systems.
- Experience supporting faculty and staff in a university environment.
