People Soft Administrator
Location:
Atlanta, GA
Duration: 9-12 months Contract
Job Summary:
The People Soft System Administrator is responsible for installing, administering, securing and maintaining infrastructure supporting People Soft applications across Windows and Linux environments. The role includes system performance monitoring, troubleshooting middleware and database issues, implementing upgrades and patches, maintaining architecture standards, supporting disaster recovery, and ensuring operational continuity of enterprise People Soft environments.
Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years experience required.
- Oracle People Soft Enterprise Functional Customer Relationship Management People Soft CRM Support.
- Install, administer, secure and maintain the infrastructure supporting the People Soft applications including web servers, database servers, application servers, process scheduler, report servers, and file servers in Windows and Linux OS platforms.
- Research issues with application middleware, database, etc., and recommend/applies solutions such as configuration changes to OS, Web Logic, People Soft Tuxedo or additional hardware, memory, CPUs, etc.
- Document and update standards for People Soft architecture and configuration as well as day‑to‑day operational procedures and protocols.
- Maintain People Soft system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis and performance tuning.
- Participate in Business Continuity exercises with periodic testing of application fail‑over for Disaster Recovery.
- Identify, download, track and apply People Tools and People Soft application upgrades and patches and CPUs for Web Logic, Tuxedo, JDK/JRE, etc.
- Proactively research available and future releases of People Tools and recommend improvements/use of appropriate solutions/tools/security to application groups.
- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Serve in a 24/7 on‑call capacity working evenings and/or weekends as needed.
