What We Need

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will lead a team of SREs/Dev Ops across a wide variety of Cloud Services. This role guides us toward a platform / systems architecture that is highly automated, fully instrumented, self-scaling, self-healing, and loosely coupled. Must be a go-getter with efficient multitasking abilities and strong people management skills.

What You'll Do
  • Standardize and modernize Amazon EKS platforms & AWS Serverless Suites, adhering to Dev Ops best practices.
  • Provide expertise and hands-on implementation of large-scale Kubernetes workloads with high resiliency and multi-region architecture.
  • Collaborate with 2 to 5 Site Reliability Engineers.
  • Champion accountability; take responsibility through actions and thoughts.
  • Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with CDK and Code Pipeline, including source control, build tools, and deployment targets like Cloud Formation stacks.
  • Prioritize and adapt quickly to a demanding, fast-paced, shift-left environment.
  • Maximize automation to improve speed and quality while reducing repetitive operational work.
  • Work with application delivery teams to design and build scalable and maintainable solutions for customers.
  • Enforce Git Ops workflows where Git is the source of truth for EKS clusters and app state in multi-account, multi-region environments (FluxCD/ArgoCD).
  • Develop baselines for governance, cost, and performance to ensure elastic cloud-based applications operate securely with zero downtime.
  • Run reliability incident management processes, including root cause analysis, runbooks, and self-healing architectures.
  • Instill standardization across Dev Ops processes for a wide range of applications.
What You'll Need
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in public cloud, specifically AWS.
  • 3+ years of leading SRE/Dev Ops teams across complex AWS ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of high-velocity SDLC, CI/CD, and monitoring for high-scale workloads.
  • Expert proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS CDK, Lambda, API Gateway, Route
    53, S3, EC2, load balancing, Dynamo

    DB, Cloud Watch, IAM, Networking, SQS, Event Bridge, etc.
  • Adept at solving and troubleshooting high-volume distributed AWS architectures.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK (Type Script preferred) with modular patterns (multi-stack, multi-account, multi-region).
  • Strong Git Ops understanding; experience with declarative configuration management in Git and tools like Flux or ArgoCD.
  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale production EKS clusters across regions and AWS accounts.
  • Knowledge of AWS cost optimization techniques (Reserved Instances, Spot Instances, lifecycle management).
  • Proven ability to build highly secure AWS infrastructure with a security-first mindset.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with development teams and drive decisions/initiatives.
  • Strong software development background including microservices architecture and fluency in JavaScript, Type Script, Node.js, or Python.
  • One or more of the following AWS

    Certifications:

    AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Dev Ops Associate, AWS Dev Ops Professional, Professional Kubernetes Certifications.
