The SQL Database Administrator / Analyst is responsible for the performance, security, and availability of enterprise database systems while serving as a strong analytical partner to the business. This role requires deep analytical skills and hands-on expertise writing SQL, Power Shell, and batch scripts to automate, optimize, and troubleshoot database processes.
Work Schedule4 days in office, 1 day remote in the Atlanta Corporate Office.
Education & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Proven experience in a SQL Database Administrator or Database Analyst role supporting enterprise systems
- Analyze database performance, capacity, and usage trends to proactively identify issues and improvement opportunities
- Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, and batch processes
- Develop automation using SQL, Power Shell, and batch scripting to improve reliability and efficiency
- Install, configure, and administer MS SQL Server databases
- Monitor system health, analyze reports, and troubleshoot complex database issues
- Perform performance tuning and query optimization based on analytical findings
- Design and implement backup, recovery, security, and auditing processes
- Manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks
- Support installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business teams to analyze requirements and data behavior
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and system trends
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration (SQL Server 2005–2022)
- Experience with Postgre
SQL and MySQL - Advanced proficiency in T-SQL, Power Shell scripting, and batch scripting
- Strong experience with query optimization, performance tuning, and root cause analysis
- Ability to document, standardize, and improve complex SQL and automation processes
- Experience managing and maintaining SQL Cubes
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
